At the very beginning, a Steering Committee, comprising of authorized personnel from the client and Apex Infotech is to be formed. This committee is to supervise progress of the project and has to provide resolution of issues that are critical to the project. Regular meetings are recommended to oversee the project.


Issue resolution is a very important part of project management and hence related procedures need to be defined as soon as possible and if the resolution cannot be obtained at the project manager level then they are to be reported to the higher authority for resolution.

We believe that the success of a project of any scope requires a clear understanding of the entire job at the very beginning and then only qualified staff with necessary management, technical and functional expertise may be assigned to the project. Our approach to project management is based on the consideration that the following factors play a key role in timely and satisfactory completion of a project:

A key to the success of any project is a clear understanding of the needs of the client. Every job is taken very seriously and done wholeheartedly because we believe that every client is valuable and to ensure that, Apex Infotech involves only the right people from the user group along with its experts to design and develop the system. After understanding their needs the project is then designed and developed with full confidence and satisfaction of the clients. Thus Apex Infotech gives same emphasis on each and every job from individual client.

Comprehensive work plan
Our approach to project planning is based on dividing the project into manageable taks with associated deliverables. The work plan incorporates activities like technical, managerial and quality assurance reviews in order to ensure that there would be no late surprises during implementation of the systems. There is regular updating of the work plan, as per actual progress of the work and plan revisions, if any. The project monitoring and reporting is done on the basis of the plan.

Issue identification and Resolution
An important part of managing a project is to identify and resolve key issues that could affect the timely and successful completion of the project. Our approach to manage such issues is to identify them early, before they start to adversely affect the project, and set up procedures and instruments for their speedy solutions.

Commitment to keep senior management informed on status
Our approach is designed to measure project progress fortnightly through weekly status reports in a format agreed upon with our client. These reports include the tasks that is completed, plan for the next period and any critical issues encountered. Our intention is to keep our clients informed and not to keep them in dark.

Commitment to keep users involved
Experience has taught us that no application system can really be effectively implemented unless the end users of the system develop a strong sense of ownership to the system. We will attempt to keep the end users involved through various activities e.g. involvement during system presentation, testing and hand over so that a sense of ownership grow. In addition, ample training to the users is always provided.
